How matching works
Most directories order results by who paid. We order them by fit, and then show you the arithmetic.
What goes into a MatchScore
Out of 100, before your priorities re-weight it. When you tell us what matters most — cost, speed, track record or proximity — that factor gets extra weight and every card still shows the effect.
Does this business do the work
35 points
The single biggest factor. If they don't do it, they don't rank.
Matches your specifics
15 points
Your answers are compared against their stated services and specialties.
Close enough
15 points
Straight-line distance against both your radius and their service area.
Available when you need it
10 points
Emergency, today, this week or planning — compared to their availability.
Fits your budget
10 points
Checked against their typical starting price when both are known.
Track record
10 points
Rating with a small allowance for review volume.
Verification
5 points
Licence and insurance we've checked, or credentials they've reported.
Not on that list: subscription status, listing plan, spend, or anything else about money. Businesses don't pay to appear first. They appear when they fit.
Where the facts come from
Every listing detail carries a provenance label so you know how much to trust it.

The rules we hold ourselves to
Ranking is never for sale
MatchScore is calculated from fit alone — service, location, timing, budget and track record. A paid listing and a free listing are scored by the same rules.
Every match is explainable
Each business shows why it appeared and what didn't line up. No hidden ordering, no mystery relevance.
You control the introduction
Nothing is sent to a business until you choose it. Your contact details are shared once, with who you picked.
We label where facts come from
Confirmed by the business, taken from their website, from a review source, or estimated by us — you can see which.
